HISTORY
 
        Kielce Dance Theatre is the one in a three institutional dance theatre in Poland. The idea of creating professional team was initiated by Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak and Grzegorz Pańtak. At the beginning it was a leading polish show dance group “Impuls”. They created the first theatrical spectacle “Feelings” which premiere took place in December 1995 in Olsztyn. it was choreographed by Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak and Piotr Galiński.
Initially it was private theatre, after that, it functioned as a association.
By the Town Council resolution, 11 March 2004, Kielce Dance Theatre - the City Institution of Culture was created. It is financed by budget of Kielce City.
 
       Management of Kielce Dance Theatre create artistic team, which specialization is jazz dance style. Among of realized spectacle there are huge pieces with symphony orchestra and choir, but also small choreographic pieces. In repertoire of Kielce Dance Theatre there are spectacle in unique modern jazz underground style: “Drab-Zeen”, “Prophecy”, “The split”.

 
Kielce Dance Theatre works in three kinds of activity:
  • artistic - by realizing and playing spectacles
  •  educational - by teaching young dancers in children and teenagers groups, courses and International Jazz Dance Workshops
  • impresarium - by organizing annual Dance Festival Kielce
Achievements:
  •  I price for spectacle „Prophetie”, II European Festival Jazz Dance Open 2006 Pardubice (Czech Republic)
  •  III price for choreographer Grzegorz Pańtak for choreography “Awaiting”, International Competition For Contemporary Choreography Prague 2005
  •  Performing “Prophecy” on the stage of Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera with Sławomir Woźniak - First Dancer of Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera (2005)
  • Semi-final of The 5th Japan International Balet & Modern Dance Competition in Nagoya (2005)
  • represented the Świętokrzyskie Region in artistic way during the ceremony of entry to the European Union in Brussels 2004
  •  realize a dance visual setting of the concert of Czesław Niemen (1996), Michał Milowicz (2002), Justyna Steczkowska (TVP2 rejestration)( 2004)
  • In opinion of journalists from “Gazeta Wyborcza” the spectacle “To be or to take” was admitted to be the most important culture event in Kielce in 1998.
 
There we dancing almost 120 dancers in Kielce Dance Theatre. They were joined by huge creative passion and systematic work. They gave the beginning of the scenic dance tradition in Kielce
